2) The solution for this opportunity is to create a cat litter box that does not force owners to bend over or put their knees on the floor. The Purrrfect Litter Box is elevated off the ground and is on wheels for the convenience of mobility. The litter box is inserted into the base and stands about 3 1/2 feet off the ground. There is carpeting around the litter box for the benefit of the cat and shelving for the benefit of the owner. There is a drawing in my elevator pitch that shows what this product will look like.

Elevator Pitch No. 1
1) The opportunity that I have found is the trouble that cat litter boxes give. Most people have to get on their knees or bend over in order to clean the litter boxes. After a certain age, this practice gets to be very painful for the knees and the back.

Hi Kristine,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading and watching your elevator pitch! I have 3 cats and my family has 3 as well, so we could really benefit from this invention! I love that it is high off of the ground, my 70 year old grandparents still have to get on their hands and knees to change the litter box for their 2 cats and I can only imaging what kind of pain they are in, especially since they have arthritis. My only questions is since it is mobile, is there a ramp for the cats to walk up or do they have to jump (which could risk the cart rolling)? Other than that I wish you would have attached a picture of the design itself, it looks neat!
Our opportunities were kind of similar, mine also dealt with cats. I created a store similar to pet stores but specifically for cats. If you have a chance, check it out here: http://plantflourishgrow.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-1the-cat-connection.html
I like you concept a lot. Litter boxes being on the ground does strain cat owners. my thing is, from the drawing, it doesn't seem like cats can access it other than jumping, which could lead to more problems that litter boxes. I like that you used a personal story to start of your pitch, but I would try to keep your tone more professional while still being enthusiastic. It is definitely an idea worth further developing for the near future! check out my post http://lovetravellives.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no-1.html
